EE Share Your Faith Workshop with Bethel Baptist

High 5!
September 23 and 24, 2011 were days that will not be too quickly forgotten. Those days introduced me to the largest group I have ever conducted a workshop with and that was just the beginning of the experience. So large was the group (sixty one persons) that the usually abandoned podium and microphone were a welcomed sight that Friday evening.

A section of the participants on Friday evening
The group seem a tough cookie in the beginning but I realized they were just warming up before they unleashed on us all the great questions, suggestions and ideas they had. They taught us so much even as we shared with them.
SYF Workshop Facilitator Dwight Kelly assisted in sharing some sessions with the large group
Everyone was involved in the practice and role-play exercise even though they seemed shy when I asked for volunteers to come to the front. But everyone was actively practicing and never did seem to get enough time as I would quickly count them down. It was lots of fun as well and that took our minds off our stomachs for a bit. =^_^=.
Participant Ade' practicing the Record Book of Sin with his partner. He later shared this with the entire group
We encouraged everyone to know the main points, scriptures and stories and then make them their own and with that said we also shared a live demonstration of a possible contact on the road. I pleaded with Dwight to be an easy candidate which caused quite an uproar with the participants. They were just so excited and keenly observed as we demonstrated.

The smiles on our faces said it all. I was pleased with the group as no one refused or even hesitated to hit the streets. But more importantly when they returned they shared some of the most amazing stories. We could have spent all evening into night sharing about the OJT experience.

A family of witnesses - The Tuckers
We are members of the body of Christ and so it makes us all family and that is just how we should operate as children of God who have accepted the free gift of eternal life...Family.
