The month of May was filled with God’s hand at work from Yallas to Porus to Hopewell. And if you know Jamaica these are far eastern, central and far western parts of the island.
The enemy attempted to distract us before we headed off for On the Job training (OJT) in Yallas as a foot of my slipper busted out the front. But God already had a plan in place because this day was Junie’s day.
Jus so? Junie from Yallas could not believe that the free gift of eternal life became hers when she transferred her trust completely to Jesus Christ in prayer. While a team of us shared the gospel with Junie, she was so excited she started asking us to tell her how to get this free gift of eternal life before we finished talking. She could hardly believe her ears and when we asked her the important question, “would you like to receive this free gift of eternal life?” she quickly said, “Of course! And it free.” We were blessed in our hearts and gave thanks to God as we partnered with her towards spiritual growth by encouraging her to read the bible, pray, worship, fellowship & witness.
The Evangelism Explosion (EE) team shared with an excited set of trainees in Porus, Manchester as we celebrated the end of a successful training session. We spent three days with the participants, taking them through a fun series of sessions in the classroom with connect activities on the streets of their communities. We made contact with fourteen (14) persons in the community as a part of our on the job training (OJT) from which there were four (4) professions of faith! Oh what joy divine. Praise the Lord (PTL)! There were twenty one (21) persons trained in Everyday Evangelism (EV2). Follow up continues with this team.
We learn better by doing. This is exactly what Rev Oneil Brown was displaying as he was called up before the group of participants, to demonstrate what he had learnt over the past two days during the training session held in Hopewell, Hanover. Following this practice session, we took to the streets after being prayed up, to join God where He was already working for some practice on the streets.
“The responses were just so different” were the words of Rev. Oneil Brown during a report back session after we completed on the Job training in (OJT) in the community of ‘Camp’, Hanover. Rosalena, the youth representative of the church was moved and encouraged by the responses of those we made contact with and truly excited to continue.
Join us in prayer for these who have realized that witnessing is the business of every believer of Jesus Christ and who have chosen to been equipped to share the gospel.
